Sarasota is undoubtedly one of the most incredible hidden gems in the Sunshine State. Not only does our city harbor incredible beach views and sunshine, but it bestows one of the best artsy vibes in the entire country. In its latest issue, AmericansStyle Magazine ranked Sarasota 5th and Bradenton 10th on its list of Top 25 Small Cities for Art. It's the 2nd year in a row Sarasota ranked 5th in this list.

Ringling Museum of Art

The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art is the state art museum of Florida.  It was established in 1927 as the legacy of Mable and John Ringling and all their accomplishments. The museum also houses the home in which they resided, the Ca d’Zan.

Asolo Repertory Theater

The Asolo story is deeply rooted and rich int the State of Florida. In fact, each year over 400,000 visitors come from around the world to visit. The theatre hosts a slew of contemporary to classical works each year.

Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall

For almost 40 years this 80,000 square foot beauty has been performing masterpieces for the local community and tourists from around the globe. It’s unique purple color is only the beginning of the entertainment value of this amazing place.

Sarasota Ballet

Sarasota Ballet is the Gulf Coast of Florida’s first and only professional ballet company. The Ballet is one of the most historic and famed performances in the entire country. Since 1987 the Ballet has been “wow-ing” audiences.

Sarasota Opera

Like the Ballet, the Sarasota Opera performs in the historic Sarasota Opera House. The building itself has gone through several renovations totaling millions of dollars and it is far and away worth every penny. It is one of the most beautiful and historic buildings and shows in the Sarasota area.

Sarasota Orchestra

60 years in the making, the  Florida West Coast Symphony is now the Sarasota Orchestra. Same style, different name. The Orchestra, however, does perform new pieces and is always revamping their craft to bring a new sound to the stage. This show is highly recommended to music lovers.
